Gallery 21 to hold art auction with all proceeds to aid deaf babies and preschool children – Sunday 22 July

Gallery 21 will be holding an auction this July with a selection of works by acclaimed artists to raise money for the charity.  Artwork has been donated by several incredible artists with the intention of holding a silent bid auction in the gallery on Sunday 22nd of July.  Artists include Lhouette, Duncan Wade, Gina Hawkshaw and more.

The Elizabeth Foundation is a national charity supporting deaf infants and preschool children and their families. They help babies and children with any degree of hearing loss learn to listen and speak from the moment of diagnosis until they are ready to go to school

Every year, over 1,000 new born babies are born with severe to profound hearing loss, most them are from families without a history of hearing loss. The Manager of Gallery 21 Rose Currens has a preschool son with a severe to profound hearing loss and The Elizabeth Foundation have been an incredible support.

“Without the Elizabeth Foundation Arthur wouldn’t listen and speak nearly as well as he does, they have been an incredible support to us all and given us the tools needed to give him the best start in life”, said Rose Currens, Manager of Gallery 21.

“We would like to thank Rose and all the staff at Gallery 21 for their hard work organising this event to raise awareness and funds for The Elizabeth Foundation. We hope lots of people will be able to join us”, said Julie Hughes Chief Executive of The Elizabeth Foundation.

The event will run on a normal gallery Sunday which means there will be plenty to see outside of the auction and a glass of bubbly will be available to whoever would like one. Please come and support the gallery and The Elizabeth Foundation on Sunday 22nd July 1pm-3pm.
